BIHTEL 2010
On the 7th international symposium on telecommunication „BIHTEL 2010“ (22.-24.11.2010) in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Dr. Brusic presented his contribution about business models for municipality-owned fibre networks and the cost/benefit analysis based on the example of the Town of Krk in Croatia. Financing Broadband Infrastructure
On 26 May 2009 the Austrian regulatory authority (RTR) hosted a workshop regarding the financing of broadband access infrastructure. Against the background of the Austrian market situation the workshop focused the models for financing network rollout in consideration of public financial support, business case calculations, PPP models and the state aid framework. As the previous workshop held on 15 April 2009 the event addressed interested parties from network operators, service providers, the financial industry, utilities, politics, research and municipalities / public administration. Dr. Ernst-Olav Ruhle gave a presentation on an international overview on financing options and business cases for the rollout of broadband access networks. On 15 April, 2009 the regulatory authority of Austria RTR hosted a workshop regarding roll out and co-operation models for broadband access infrastructure. The workshop focused the current development of the Austrian broadband market regarding these issues and addressed interested parties from network operators, service providers, public administration, utilities, politics, reseach and municipalities / administration.
