
Dr. Igor Brusic received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia in 1993 and his PhD from the Technical University of Vienna in 2005. Before starting his doctorate, he worked with Ericsson and Siemens as System Engineer for public telephone switches and mobile networks. During his doctorate his main topics were mobile networks, QoS and Location Based Services. Between 2003 and 2008 Igor Brusic worked for ÖFEG, a subsidiary of Telekom Austria, where his areas of responsibility were the development of convergent services, internal VoIP and ENUM Trials and the use of open source software in telecommunications.
For the past two years Mr Brusic has been extensively involved in different topics concerning fibre optics in access networks. Mr Brusic also participated in Austrian and European research projects and is still a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Kapfenberg (Austria). Since the end of 2008 he has been working as a senior consultant at SBR Juconomy in Vienna.
