Juconomy Consulting AG was founded on 1 March 2004 under the name of Piepenbrock und Schuster Consulting AG, after it had been demonstrated in the years before that the economic and technical advice on top of the legal support was gaining more and more importance and constituted a separate business area of its own.

SBR stands for Schuster Berger Ruhle. The initials represent the three founders of the SBR Group which is now joined by Dr. Christian Bahr and Dr. Sönke Ahrens, two further partners of the law firm since 1 July 2009. The SBR Group consists of two legal entities – the SBR Schuster Berger Bahr Ahrens Attorneys-at-Law on the one hand and of SBR Juconomy Consulting AG on the other.

Professional advice and consulting – even in such times of electronic communication – is still conducted on the spot. In order to be able to provide our clients with the best possible consulting, we put our trust mainly in personal interaction and in the direct exchange of ideas and opinions.  As a result of the growth in our involvement in Austria, an office was opened in Vienna at the beginning of 2005 as a complement to the Düsseldorf site. This facilitates communication with local clients, but also makes it possible to provide consulting services "closer to the scene of things" for our foreign clients whenever they require support with planned or already implemented activities in Austria.

Since 1st January 2009 we have added a more technical focus to our consulting business by expanding our team by engineers in our office in Vienna. These colleagues have extensive practical and theoretical know-how regarding technical questions in the telecommunications arena and have dealt with the establishment, the development and management of telecommunications networks for many years. This strengthens our basis for new issues in the area of network rollout such as fibre optic networks. In our Vienna office we also have a lawyer with extensive experience in telecommunications and competition law.

Today, SBR Juconomy Consulting AG provides consulting for companies and public authorities at home and abroad, at times well beyond the borders of the EU (for example in Arab countries and in Africa) (list available for download).
